Update on accounts for Jenisha as on 10Dec2017

In addition to the donations received in India till 05Jun2017 amounting to Rs 143,522.87/- (in District Central Co-operative bank, Kalimpong), I have received Rs 159,500/- from Mr Navin Soni of Kalimpong on 08Dec2017. This money was transferred by Ms Khusboo Soni in the USA from this crowd funding site. I intend to deposit the money in the bank as soon as possible.
This would mean a total collection of Rs 303,022.87/- for Jenisha.

Update (10Dec2017) on Jenisha (child with severe eye problem and who also suffers from Hydrocephalus)

If someone were to point out that after having collected money from friends, relatives and total strangers for a purported charitable cause (in this case, to help an under privileged and disabled child with money for her treatment) - you don't update people once in 6 months - I would plead guilty - even though there were cogent reasons for the lapse :-
a. There was a crippling strike amidst political turmoil here which lasted over 3 months, when among other things, internet connectivity was turned off
b. Jenisha and her mother were in Nepal because of the strike in Kalimpong and only came back in Nov2017.
Having said that, I would like to inform all that today, she is in CMC Vellore and I am afraid the news about the condition of her eye is not good at all - the parents have been informed that nothing can be done to improve her vision.
They will be going to LV Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad for a second opinion after completing her appointment with the Nuero Department (for hydrocephalus) at Vellore.
